Is is smart to live of a loan while you build your business?

How do I get a Small Business Loan without Business Credit?

I have been working for myself for a little over a year and the business is really picking up. I have been told that I could get a loan and use the products I purchase with the loan as Collateral. Is this true and if so where would I start?
